From cats to a man eating plant to Jesus Christ, it sometimes seems there has been a musical written on just about every subject.

But now thanks to theatre group the Kila Kokonut Krew comes what is billed as the first ever Pasifika musical.

It's south side story, the story of Pacific Islanders coming to this country looking for the Promised Land.

The Factory plays at the Mangere Art Centre for the rest of this month and then some.
