Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Paul

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Paul

By Kate Rodger

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are two Brit sci-fi geeks, on a much anticipated road trip from San Diego's Comic-Con in their hired Winnebago visiting all their geeky points of Alien interest.

When a geeky point of alien interest includes an actual alien, a dope-smoking extra-terrestrial with a penchant for mooning and on the lam from his US government jail-keepers, our geeks get more than they bargained for.

When it comes to Pegg and Frost i have a well-documented weakness for their bonedry brit wit and their geeky nerdy infectious adoration of all things cinematic.. Paul worships at the alter of sci-fi and alien movies, and i savoured every morsal.

Not as funny as Hot Fuzz, not as funny as Shaun of the Dead, but still an easy four stars of alien funny for me.
