Social Development Minister Paula Bennett has been admitted to Waitakere Hospital today with pneumonia and bronchitis.

The Minister has been sick with bronchitis all week but this morning doctors told her she had developed pneumonia and she needed to go hospital.

A spokesperson for the Minister says Ms Bennett “tried meeting all her engagements this week despite the advice to stop or slow down”.

“It’s progressively got worse, to the point where doctors told her to go to hospital.

“She’s just tried to carry on but today she was told she has pneumonia so she went to hospital.”

People like Bennett should respect the health of other's to do what she did save gems from spreading.. I was well until my partner's gay mates arrived at my home un-expectedly, but having two couple and six children's running noses gave me pneumonia just like that.. I was suffered and run in to a few comas and body system were down for up to five six days, I mainly live on apple juice, kept the house spring clean each day by my helper and had plenty of black cold tea and coffee, hot lemon juicy with plenty of water with an emergency medical kit at hand, luckly that I have some nursing experiences that help save my own life otherwise the ambulance always available.. My first bedpan at home and today my second day out and about after a two week run down..Get well soon Bennett..

Goodness me I am in good company. I was told this morning that I also have pneumonia. I wish you a speedy recovery so that you can get the lazy dick heads employment. It never fails to amaze me that the amount of people who have never done a days work think that this country owe them a living. The attitude astounds me because there is work out there if anyone wants it. If they tried working for a living they will find that it can be so satisfying in so many ways. Get well soon Ms Bennett.
