A male pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck in central Auckland on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to the Newton Road overbridge about 6.50am.
The man died at the scene.
Police are advising drivers to avoid the area if possible.
The
left-hand lane of the overbridge is closed and will remain closed for
some time as investigators examine the scene, police say.
