An assault case involving celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and the Black Eyed Peas' tour manager has been postponed until later this month.

Will.i.am confronted Hilton at the MuchMusic Awards in Canada in June over his online attacks on bandmate Fergie and the group's latest record The E.N.D., and manager Polo Molina waded into the argument.

Molina was charged with assault after surrendering to police in Toronto, and Hilton subsequently filed documents suing the Peas' tour manager for battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The case has been adjourned until 26 August.

Hilton is seeking damages of more than US$25,000.
