Unofficial results are giving leftist military man Ollanta Humala a narrow win in Peru's tightly contested presidential runoff against the daughter of imprisoned ex-President Alberto Fujimori.

The independent Transparencia election watchdog group says Humala has just over 51 percent of Sunday's votes and puts Keiko Fujimori at just under 49 percent.

That is based on more than 90 percent of the ballots counted. Transparencia says the error margin in its count is one percentage point.

Official results are expected later today.
