Why is no-one interested in the fact that the Ady Gil was actually sunk by a vessel under the command of Paul Shepherd? The rejection of Bethune for any further anti-whaling action is probably part of Watson's efforts to make sure that Bethune never would take any publicity away from Watson. Making sure the Gil sunk was an effective way to remove any future high profile protesting by Bethune.

NathanMany people have vision problems and don't even realize it. You may be one of these people. I suggest you get to an optometrist.The crew of the Ady Gil has publically stated that the vessel was in motion prior to the collision. The crew statements to the Australian Maritime Safety Authority included the fact they were in motion and also indicated that the Shonan Maru's course stayed steady at 30 degrees true throughout the incident. The AMSA specific highlighted the statements by the crew that the Shonan Maru didn't alter course.So you can believe your eyes but I will believe the statements of the crew of the Ady Gil.
