Amy Winehouse's rocker pal Pete Doherty has revealed her death has left him "bewildered".

The former Libertines frontman became close friends with the ‘Rehab’ hitmaker in 2007 and they are believed to have supported each other as they battled their drug demons.

Doherty has now spoken out to reveal he was stunned by Winehouse's sudden death last month and he's baffled by the tragedy.

He tells British newspaper The People, "I'm struggling with f**king everything because I'm so bewildered about what happened to Amy. I was in bed when I heard the news of her death. Someone had to wake me up to tell me. I couldn't take it in and still can't.

"Coming to terms with what has happened is almost impossible. It's hard to think she's not with us any more."
