Filmmaker Peter Jackson has released another teaser for his upcoming The Hobbit movies.

A 12-minute long reel showing footage from The Hobbit was shown at the annual Comic-Con convention in San Diego earlier this month. However, it has not been shown more widely.

On Tuesday morning, Sir Peter uploaded a nearly 15-minute video to his Facebook page, containing footage of the last few days of filming of the movies.

Viewers get a glimpse of the set of the city Dale, the house of the shapeshifter Beorn and the underground goblin kingdom.

They also get glimpses of actors behind the wizard Radagast the Brown, played by Sylvester McCoy, and the Goblin King, played by Barry Humphries.

There are also clips of many of the dwarves in costume.

The cast and crew spent 266 days shooting The Hobbit and it is now in post-production.

The adaption of JRR Tolkien's classic novel The Hobbit is broken into two films - An Unexpected Journey and There and Back Again. The first film is due out on December 14 and the second a year later.
