New Zealand First leader Winston Peters says he wants the editor of a prominent newspaper to be sacked once he proves it printed lies about him.

The New Zealand Herald has released emails which it says proves Owen Glenn donated $100,000 to New Zealand First.

Earlier this year, when Mr Glenn was asking to be New Zealand's honorary consul in Monaco, Mr Peters - who is also the Foreign Minister - denied any transaction took place.

He maintains that position and has issued a warning to the paper's editor.

Will Winston Peters be ready to step down in case it is proven that he has lied or hidden true facts ? It should swing both ways !!!
