Phil Spector has lost the latest round in his fight for freedom after judges at America's highest court refused to review his murder conviction.
The disgraced producer, who was jailed for 19-years-to-life in 2009 for the second-degree murder of Lana Clarkson, is appealing against his conviction, arguing his trial was unfair.
The music legend's legal team submitted papers to the US Supreme Court alleging the trial judge had intervened unfairly in a witness' testimony, violating Spector's constitutional rights.
But on Tuesday, officials at the Supreme Court refused to review the case and allowed the guilty verdict to stand, according to Reuters. No reason was given for the judges' decision.
