the flag says this is maori land and that being the case, maori have to pay for the thing the flag represents. maori must pay for the prisons as the flag says so. a good idea as settlement money would finally get to the real owners, the people in jail or not. international rules are the flag represents the ownership and is protected by law.
mr sharples won't know that it is the law that the flag is not legal as this country is still in the commonwealth and must obey the british rules. the maori flag is not the legal flag of nz so to fly over a gov't building is unlawfull.

Considering the prisons are full of Maori, it would be racist not to. The prison is the only proof I've seen of Maori actually 'owning the land'. And what a great advertisement for them. Instead of the sign 'welcome to Kaitaia, Akld, Tokoroa' etc, it would say 'welcome to the whanau'.

i think they should fly the flag over every courthouse in n.z because thats where most of the injustices are done e.g millie holmes how many times has she gotten off drug charges opposed to the poor maoris who havent a prominent daddy.fLY THE FLAG FOR ALL THE INEQUITIES IN OUR SOCIETY IM SURE N.Z WILL RUN OUT OF FLAGS.
