In Australia, Victoria's state government has used it's mother-of-all aerial firefighters for the first time.
A new DC-10 firefighting aircraft leased by the state government has been called out to battle a bush fire.
The huge plane, dubbed the "super-soaker", was called in to drop fire retardant chemicals on a fire front burning west of Mildura in the Victorian outback.
The DC-10 can hold 45,000 litres of water or 42,000 litres of retardant, and can lay a continuous line of retardant or water 30 metres wide for 1.2 kilometres.
