A five-year campaign to cut back on plastic bag use at three major retailers has exceeded expectations.

New data just out from the Packaging Council shows that 157 million bags have been taken out of circulation at Foodstuffs, Progressive Enterprises and Warehouse stores.

That is a 22 percent reduction in use. Executive director Paul Curtis joins Michael Wilson to discuss the trend.
