Police have named the two people killed in a crash at the notorious intersection of Kingseat Rd and Glenbrook Rd, Manukau, last Thursday.

They were Garry Smith, 38, and Janice Knox, 67.

Mr Smith was travelling south on Kingseat Rd when he failed to stop at the intersection with Glenbrook Rd.

His vehicle collided with Ms Knox's. She suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Auckland Hospital, where she died later that night.
