That's gotta be the dumbest thing i've seen in a long time... it's got memories of the last time i saw Harawira when he was protesting in his car and blocking the removal of a house. Honestly though... when a protest turns ugly and there they are taunting police then it's turned into a mob mentality when there turning it from peaceful into violent... any message they have to say is not worth hearing! There was certainly no need to burn all those signatures... no need at all!!!

@ANTS, Legislation clearly states that when outnumbered and attacked a police officer can use any amount of force he/she deems neccessary to protect him/herself. i.e self defence.

750,000 signatures worldwide, that pathetic effort about says it all.Would have been 750,003 if Kelly Minto and Harawera were intelligent enough to write their names.

I don't necessarily disagree with the message these protestors have - but like many New Zealanders I am appalled at their behaviour. Violence and intimidation is wrong, no matter what your cause. When activists start stomping on police's heads they lose any support they might have had. Shame on you Minto, Hawariwa and the rest of the mob.

@ERM - Democracy doesn't happen in secret. John Key dismissing the concerns of the people - even going so far as to say they should just be ignored - whilst signing NZ up to an agreement on behalf of the NZ people, without allowing the people to see the details of what they are being signed up to - that isn't democracy. Signing NZ up to an agreement that elevates the rights of trans-national corporations over the rights of workers, consumers, the environment and the country - that isn't democracy. Diminishing our national sovereignty and opening us up to be sued in overseas tribunals for attempting to legislate in our own interests - that isn't democracy. There is only one reason for all the secrecy surrounding the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement - there is no substantive argument in support of what they are doing, so they have to sell out the people in secret. If the people knew exactly what was being done to them - in their own name - the recent protests would pale in comparison to the uproar that would eventuate.

As usual, Minto is there along with Hone and I guess Helen Kelly would be there somewhere, along with 'rent-a-crowd.'

Though I dont agree with violence I am glad to see the people of New Zealand are waking up to the realization that this TPP agreement is far less about trade and more about the corporate takeover of governments across the world. With the TPP agreement containing more fluff about copyright rules, and the ability for corporations to take governments to court is laws are changed that they do not like. This is a complete and utterwaste of time. Lets sign free trade agreements that are actually about trade and not corporate rights which this current agreement contains more of than it does trade.
