There are reports the Desert Road in the central North Island has snow on it and very poor visibility.
At 4:45am, police had reports of 2cm of snow on the road.
“We ask drivers to take extra care and drive to the conditions,” Central Communications shift commander sergeant Andy Dow says.
The MetService has no warnings of snow on the Desert Road.
