Police are continuing their investigation into the death of a Paeroa restaurant owner.

Jordan Voudouris was found dead in a pool of blood at the back of his pizza shop on Monday morning.

Detective senior sergeant Michael Whitehead says the scene investigation may take another two days.

Police are working with the local community and businesses to profile Mr Voudouris to get an understanding of his habits and routines.

"Friends, employees and patrons have been able to assist us with this,” Mr Whitehead says.

He says police are working with businesses which were open on Sunday night to see if they can find anyone who can help work out what happened that night.

"The investigation team encourage anyone who may have information to contact us," Mr Whitehead says.

Police particularly want to speak with anyone who was in Paeroa town centre between 10pm on Sunday and 6am on Monday.

Police were also investigating possible links with an attempted robbery in Waihi, as well as an aggravated robbery in Katikati on Monday.

If you have any confirmation call Paeroa Police Station on 07 862 8744 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
