While the French were celebrating a win at the IRB awards tonight, they didn’t acquit themselves quite so well this afternoon.

3 News understands the French team enjoyed a five hour liquid lunch at Auckland restaurant Kermadec.

The players’ drunken antics included crash-tackling posters of themselves, throwing chairs, drawing on a waiter and reducing a female staff member to tears after she asked them to return alcohol taken from behind the bar.

A complaint has been made to French management about the incident.

Just when the French get my respect back from the way they played in the final they go and blow it by this behaviour. Why am I not suprised though European rugby players are just spoilt over priviledged brats. Just like their soccer counterparts not worth the millions they are paid

David - I can imagine All Black supporters doing the same if the scores were reversed - this was not supporters it was the French Team!!!

What a disgrace to France - I think Police should have been involved and not only should they be fined over the haka incident but also for this !!

If gang members were doing it they'd call the Police . . . that's what we have them for. If the management aren't prepared to do that . . . then they can't really grizzle. They're just people . . . and should be dealt with just like everybody else.
