Free trade agreement can leave the farm gate open, all depends what promises have been made behind closed doors. When you tie countries together with agreements you get the good and the bad. It then comes down to risk management which we do not seem too good at. Worrying part is that if you do get one bad item it can cost the country millions potentially billions.
