If there was ever a hard film to market it’s this one.
A
black, obese, illiterate teenager pregnant with her own father’s child,
barely surviving a life of mental, emotional, physical and sexual abuse
from both father and mother – this is a story you definitely have to be
in the right mood for, and it won’t be for everyone.
I
can only say, if you’re up for it, this film is one of the most
powerful and moving few hours you will ever spend in a cinema, and is a
five-star watch.
