It will be interesting to see how the debate over republicanism develops. I imagine the Maori party would be very reluctant for us to sever ties with our major treaty partner. What is Margaret Motu going to do when her treaty claims come back 'Return to sender, not at this address'?

Sounds awesome the govt are finally going to constitutionalize NZ with ONE Constitution 'for all' which will rid alot of PC fiascos. Hopefully combining a One NATION rule so all kiwis are treated equally under a re-established constitution without the QUEENS CHAIN will enhance a better democracy. And still have the MONARCHY'S surpreme RULE so KEY can't VETO democracies wants. Like the smacking bill which is like telling everyone to run backwards. Much less overpaid mps. Three strikes and you're out criminal justice system. Democracy usually is right but National don't care. The only way to stop honourable John Key from vetoing democracy. Would be having the top 12 odd ministers voting for a conscious or party/blockade type vote, and John Key can only vote on drawn votes. Then John Keys honeymoon should trip him up for democracies sake.

Yea a banana republic with this govt running the show. Key already thinks hes the king with the way he rides in on his white steed to veto some trumped up buls@$t he has had his ministers dream up. Its all to try and distract the public from the real agenda of privatisation and business Orientated policies.
I remember back in the Muldoon era of New Zealand politics when the catch ohase of the national party was... Treat the New Zealand public like mushrooms, keep em in the dark and feed them on Buls@$t.
