A Marlborough school principal is praising the quick response of teachers, medics and the police after an alleged attack on a student.
The incident occured on Monday afternoon at Queen Charlotte College.
It's understood an 18-year-old former student entered the grounds and attacked a 16-year-old boy he knew.
Principal Tom Parsons says he's happy with the response.
The older teenager has been charged with assault and will appear in the Blenheim District Court this month.
