The Central Pulse, with no chance of making the playoff's, were out to dent the Melbourne Vixens’ hopes of a home semi final.
The Pulse defence in the circle was impressive at times, but after loosing Katarina Cooper to a nasty looking knee injury the classy Vixens just kept on coming.
The vixens were the victors by 8 goals with the final score 49 – 41.
And Melbourne now move to the top of the table with one round remaining before the semis.
