After narrowly losing to England last weekend, Argentina was back in action today against Romania.

Romania ran Scotland close in their opening game and they were looking to upset the Pumas.

Argentina did not seem to be missing injured captain Felipe Contepomi; racing out to a 14 point lead with nothing getting in their way.

Committed to running everything, the third soon followed as los Pumas entertained a colourful Rugby park.

Much to the delight of the eastern European tourists Romania did pull one back.

A positive end to a tough first forty, Argentina up 26-8 at the break.

The Romanians provided a much sterner test in the second stanza keeping Argentina at bay for an impressive 25 minutes.

Camped in their own 22 when Romania did breakaway on attack it ended in more points for the Pumas.

Argentina victorious 43-8.
