Today, the US East coast had a 5.8 earthquake. For us, it's rather equivalent of Martians landing and about as common. Since there are no Martians, you get the idea. Hopefully, someone will see this and answer, even so long after that awful event that hurt such a good people. As the earthquake hit, I had recently arisen, as I slept in today. I was sitting, reading about a 5.8 earthquake in Colorado, ANOTHER place with rare earthquakes, as rare as a platypus walking our streets! The earthquake struck, I felt a pressure in my ears, typically I get that with heavy subsonics from explosions or thunderstorms and some types of aircraft. At first, I thought I had a major neurological event going on, as I DO have some nerve root compression. Then, I noticed the laptop screen moving, glanced at my water bottle and noticed the water moving. THEN, if figured out what was going on. I AM befuddled by a strange confusion and mild disorientation that remains even now, nearly 10 hours after the earthquake. My wife feels the same. I'm a combat veteran, I know disasters. I've personally experienced them and responded. Even to the point of spending 2 1/2 hours collecting the remains of a good friend. I've NEVER experienced this before in my half century of life. Have any OTHER earthquake "veterans" known of this effect?
