It is a year to the day before the Rugby World Cup, and tournament organisers say despite the earthquake, they can see no reason to alter plans for Christchurch to play a role in hosting the event.

Cup CEO Martin Snedden says AMI Stadium passed a final inspection by engineers yesterday, and so far they haven't heard of any issues that would force a change of plans.

Mr Snedden says everything from stadium construction around the country to advance ticket sales remain on track and point to a successful tournament.
