I have aleady been punished for questioning the safety of the impending 1080 drop. I have removed all the cattle I graze for their own safety so have no Income At least I can sleep at night. However I am now very concerned about the Ground Drop done pre Christmas around the Egmont National Park and Ring Plane as most of the Birds Including Resident Paradise Ducks Pukekos etc dissapeared. We fence off Waterways for their good health only to have them laced with Cianide etc. All washing down to the sea. There is a lot of Sediment washing down now too so don't be surprised DOC when you have Blue Penguins Seals etc found dead along the Coastline.
DOC gets caught lying about the effects on the environment to do with these poisons all the time. When are we going to stop treating them as the authority rather than the criminal?
This is inhumane! Why is the government allowing drops of 1080 over the land we live, breath and eat from? Time to wake up NZ, im am so against this that if i see one of those helicopters with 1080 fly over my property i will be more than tempted to shoot it down. I WILL NOT SIT BACK AND WATCH INNOCENT ANIMALS DIE, nothings more sad than seeing an elderly guy losing his life long Doggy companion Due to 1080. (and it wasn't an 'easy death' more like slow, and utterly traumatizing!) DISGRACEFUL no words can explain the mass murder they, DOC are committing.
