Quit whining, says Pete Wentz

Pete Wentz wants people to stop threatening to quit Twitter.

Celebrities are known to rant on the micro-blog before hastily erasing their accounts. The Fall Out Boy frontman is tired of the whining showing up on is feed.

"Ppl quitting twitter always deliver a bunch of long tweets about quitting... Snore.. Sorry fell asleep with my eyes open," he wrote Saturday.

Pete failed to mention offenders by name. But his note follows on the heels of a couple of high profile users deleting their accounts after lengthy tirades.

Jennifer Love Hewitt erased her profile on Wednesday. She said cruel online comments were to blame.

"Unfortunately with all the negativity people choose to send on Twitter as well as threats to their own well being, I'm sad to say Twitter is no longer for me," the actress wrote.

"I have enjoyed all the kindness and love that came my way, as well as support. But this break is needed.

"Life should be filled with positivity and holding each other up, not making threats and sending bad vibes. To those of you who made it a joy, Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Alec Baldwin also shut his account last month after spewing vitriol at a journalist who had accused his wife of tweeting during James Gandolfini's funeral.

He sent out several explosive tweets targeting the writer before vowing not to return to the website for the second time.

"How much of this sh*t are people supposed to take? With these f**king blatant lies EVERY DAY," Alec fumed. "My wife DID NOT use her phone, in any capacity, at our friends funeral. Now, f**k this twitter + good luck to all of you who know the truth (sic)."

Charlie Sheen has also deleted his account in the past.

The Anger Management star quit the social networking site last July after sources claimed he'd had enough of sharing his thoughts in short updates.

He reactivated his account a month later.
