The Radio Network has been referred to the police by the Electoral Commission for breaching the law about broadcasts for political parties.
The commission says it believes broadcasts for United Future on October 25 fell outside the election period and was in breach of section 70 of the Broadcasting Act 1989.
Under the act broadcasters are prohibited from broadcasting election programmes for a political party outside of the election period.
Last year's time frame began on October 26 and ended on November 25, 2011.
It follows two other referrals to the police by the commission earlier this month about broadcasts.
A radio show on RadioLive hosted by Prime Minister John Key was deemed to have breached the same act and news coverage screened on TVNZ on the day of the election was believed to have been in violation of the Electoral Act.
