Radiohead have released two new songs from the recording sessions for their latest album, The King of Limbs.

Available as a download from the band's www.thekingoflimbs.com website, 'Super Collider' and 'The Butcher' were originally released on limited edition vinyl in the UK on April 16 for Record Store Day.

"It's a thank you for being SO supportive of what we do," the band wrote in an email sent out to people who purchased The King Of Limbs online.

"This is not part of a new loyalty points scheme, a Radiohead clubcard or even an air miles redeemable reward type thing... It is just a big old-fashioned thank you!"

'Super Collider' is the longest song ever released by the band, lasting over seven minutes. It wasn't finished when the album came out in February. It's a slow-burning and melodic piece that wouldn't have sounded out of place on The King of Limbs, which attracted criticism for its short length.

'The Butcher' was left off because Radiohead "couldn't make it work on the album". It has the same stuttering drum patterns and melancholy coos from Thom Yorke most of the record had, with percussion that sounds like slamming doors and an overall abstract arrangement.

The two tracks definitely retain the feel and atmosphere of The King of Limbs, and fans who liked the album – but wished there was more of it – will be pleased.
