Playoff form is following the NRL's regular season form with the top six advancing to week two.

The sixth-placed Raiders were the final team through last night, eliminating seventh-placed Cronulla with a 34-16 win in Canberra.

The Raiders needed a five-match winning run to make the playoffs, so are pretty good at do or die football.

Josh Papalli's try gave Canberra a 16-6 lead and he kept the pain coming for Cronulla.

The Sharks suffered a bigger blow after the break, when star playmaker Todd Carney injured his achilles.

Yet they were within two points when Nathan Stapleton crossed.

Concussion kept Jarrod Croker from finishing the game so Blake Fergusson made came up with two knockout blows for a 34-16 win.

So the Raiders will now play the Rabbitohs on Saturday for a chance to face the Bulldogs while Manly hosts North Queensland Friday for a shot at the Storm.

If the Raiders do beat the bunnies, it'll be the first time they've made the top four since Super League in 1997.
