I know the law says to leave them alone. However they also have very big teeth that makes giving them a wide berth a good idea. He looks harmless enough, but I wouldn't get too close.

It was a heavy rainy stormy weather yesterday at about 6pm that lasted up to 4 hours in our part of the woods, we live high up by the hills that the rain was heavier then normal with a little less whistling windtrily wind and this morning we recieved the misty drizzly calm wintry weather with dark early morning clouds..The news announment scared most people by mentioning Wellington was hit by an earthquarke that reminded us of the Christchurch earthquarke and watching this poor seal looking for shelter is in the safe hand..
