In an extremely rare event, a baby panda has been born in the wild in China.

The panda cub was found in a natural reserve in Shaanxi Province in North West China.

Researchers in the reserve estimate there are only around 100 wild pandas living in the region, so a sighting of a newborn wild panda is considered a remarkable find.
