I have just watched this fabulous video again in between watching tonight's show on milk in schools (along with the driving dogs!) Thank you John and your team for highlighting local solutions to child poverty and hunger in New Zealand. Keep on 'banging on' about it please until the government takes steps to ensure all children have the same healthy start in life and all parents have enough money to feed and house their families.

I am finding John’s reference to “decile 1” increasingly annoying. It sounds condescending. What are the rest of the kids in NZ doing? Planning their art trips to Vienna? Every primary school student should be learning about growing vegetables, cooking and eating healthy foods. Small complaint? Not, perhaps, to the children who attend decile 1 schools. In the bigger picture I fully support Campbell Live’s exposure of poverty in NZ. Keep up the good work. Keep telling us about the “no show even if it’s good news” politicians. Keep asking the hard questions. Sincere thanks for your passion.

Vegetable Frittata,Salad & Strawberries How awesome is that! feeding themselves at school from their own garden, now thats something i'd be happy to see my education dollar spent on... a bloody great garden in every school, their old dead swimming pools are ideal too as one of our locals has, and theres your feeding kids in schools program taken care of for the price of some seed.
