86-year-old Joyce Waghorn, was 'told off' for her appearances on Campbell Live

For five months Campbell Live has been following the plight of the residents at the Kate Sheppard retirement village in Christchurch.

The village was destroyed in the February earthquake, but unlike other people in the red zone residents will only get back 75 percent of what they paid for their homes due to contracts they signed with the village owner, Lance Bunting.

We have asked Mr Bunting to come on the show countless times.

Residents have asked to have a meeting with him countless times too, but he has always refused.

Then yesterday afternoon when no one was watching he had a go at one of his residents, 86-year-old Joyce Waghorn, for her appearances on Campbell Live.

Natasha Utting catches up with Ms Waghorn and tries to get an answer out of Mr Bunting.

Lance- You should do the right thing for your residents. Being the infamous villain of CHCH, now known as such in Australia and US, cannot be healthy for you, your family or your business partners. You could turn this all around now. Sure it may cost you a few dollars but the good deed would be priceless. And, may later be more financially beneficial than the vicious, thoughtless and careless stand you are taking at present. Please do the right thing.
