In space, no-one can hear you scream.
But ever since Ridley Scott's Alien, audiences have been screaming "encore."
Even now, over 30 years on, the film hits the back of the throat as hard as ever.
Now Scott is back, this time with Prometheus.
Set in our future, but before Alien literally burst onto the scene, this prequel is grander in every way.
The 3D blockbuster was shot over many months at London’s pinewood studios. The place has 16 massive sets, but even that was not quite big enough, with one of the stages being made 25% bigger.
The production wasn't the only thing supersized.
The story line of Prometheus tries to go dark places Alien could only hint at.
The beginning of mankind for starters - and the critics cannot decide if it is pointed or pointless.
The film has just hit the big screen here, so go judge for yourself.
