R&B singer Rihanna has handed her mother the keys to a brand new home in her native Barbados.
The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker has thanked her mum Monica for a lifetime of endless support by purchasing her a fully-furnished, five-bedroom mansion, complete with a large pool and outdoor gazebo.
Rihanna surprised her mother with the generous gift during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, and her awestruck mum's reaction was caught on camera for the Oprah's Next Chapter series, which aired in America on Sunday.
The 24-year-old beauty told her mum, "I wanted to do this for you for a very long time. You have been such an amazing mother, example, soldier, and you get to walk away with the key to this house."
The pair then hugged and celebrated the news over a glass of champagne in Monica's new kitchen.
