Andrea Kruger stunned the judge and courtroom when she hugged, kissed and forgave the drunk driver who killed her husband.

That has to be the saddest story and the most infuriating that Phillip Hamilton is totally unwilling to take any responsibility for his actions. How can he even be eligible for the dole whilst on home detention? Would he be able to collect that if he was in prison? It should be going to Andrea. He makes me feel physically sick!

Hamilton and his brother a killers their sentence is that they still live and will never better themselves they are both drunks and useless members of society and each day they will be reminded of that. There will be no salvation for them. God Bless Andrea for finding her solace in forgiveness - God Forgive that Judge

What an amazing lady - I am thankful that she has her faith to help her through this horrific time. I am thankful that she is able to forgive this man, not for his sake, but for hers. It will help her through the healing process as she won't have to deal with the bitterness of unforgiveness. However, it's not fair that the victims, on top of everything else, have to deal with financial hardship - surely there should be something in place to help them? Come on NZ, let's put processes in place so the victims are supported. My prayers are with you Andrea. God bless

It is a complete joke this killer has only been sentenced to 12 months home detention. There is no justice here and although Andrea hopes this guy is somehow right himself and do better in the future, I don't see any sign of that coming out of him. He should be in Jail for a very long time. There is law in this country but not justice - it is a pity that Andrea did not know that.
