American tennis star Andy Roddick’s career isn’t over yet.
The 2003 champion pummelled Australian Bernard Tomic in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 in an hour and 27 minutes in Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Roddick was in complete control of the match and even employed a serve-volley tactic that for years many experts have been calling for him to use.
He sent down 13 aces in the match and was uncompromising when his first serve went in.
The bog hitting American now moves on to the third round where he will next meet Fabio Fognini of Italy who is ranked 59th in the world.
