Comedian Russell Brand has proposed to his popstar girlfriend Katy Perry, according to UK reports.
Brand, who began dating Perry in September of this year, sparked rumours he would settled down with the I Kissed A Girl hitmaker after he was photographed shopping for a diamond ring at a Cartier jewellery store earlier this month.
According to Britains Daily Mirror, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star proposed during Perry's trip to his native Britain last week.
A source says Perry "quickly said yes".
"They don't know when the wedding will be, but they are planning to make it in 2010 if the schedules can work. Russell is searching for a jewellery designer to create a ring in time for the New Year," the source says.
Spokespersons for Perry and Brand were not available for comment.
