I come from Sri Lanka and I have seen how bad they treat captured elephants in those countries. I guess Mr Hans has not seen what real cruelty is.
I say the elephants will be treated better in New Zealand than in Sri Lanka. Its good for Burma to have some company like we all do.

When is this going to stop. Why do we or any other country need zoos, its disgusting. Why cant they just leave these beautiful creatures alone alone.

I think that Burma should have her own breeding herd because she needs to be with her own kind.I know it may cost more money and time than sending her somewhere but think about the history that Burma has at the zoo and it may be a bit depessing for her to get used to new surroundings somewhere else and may cause a lot of stress, even with other elephants.I may not be an expert only being eleven but Im not just sticking with my opinion because thats natural but im sticking with my opinion because its not going to cause stress and loneliness to the Animal.
