Financial communications network SWIFT is ready to block Iran from its system

SWIFT, a global financial clearinghouse, says it is ready to block Iranian banks from using its networks to transfer money.

SWIFT is essentially the computer hub that processes the world's financial transactions, and a ban could shut down much of Iran's oil business.
