I have been to the Beauty Club in Lower Hutt 3 times and had my hair foiled. The owner (Liz) did a fantastic job on all 3 occasions. The prices are well worth it and I can highly recommend their services. PS: I don't think Mark owns this salon, he only works there from what I know.

A week ago, 20th April 2012. I left my job at hair club in westfield queensgate, lower hutt. In the short time that I was there all I received was a bad attitude and what can only be described as bullying from the boss. She didnt like the fact I have two children, she went so far as to basically say I have no business working when I have two kids. It didnt stop there, she started putting me down and making me feel useless in front of clients. They refused to give me a contract, which i thought was required for any job in new zealand. On top of all this the lack of health and safety protocols was appauling and customer service was virtually non-existant. The last straw for me was that I had been told that she telling people, complete strangers, that I am a drug addict. completely untrue. I was so disgusted by this that I decided right there that it was not worth it and that since they never gave me a contract I had no obligations to them so I left and have not been back. It may come across as sounding like I'm just ranting for the sake of it. This is not the case. When I first took the job I started hearing lots things about them that weren't very nice but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and make up my own mind. After what I saw in my time there I can see why they have the reputation that they have. And as someone that worked there and saw first hand what goes on I just want people to know the truth. They just aren't worth it, better to spend the extra money and get a better salon experience

Last Friday I had My hair dyed at Hair club {which I was told by a staff memember used to be hair Co }In lower Hutt ,the worst thing about it all was I was advised not to go there ,but thought to myself one unsatisfied customer shouldn't put me off,Unfortunately I Really wish I had listened.... I went in and asked for my hair to be all over dyed near to the colour it was "{ie} Golden/ash Blonde...The girl came out from the back with the mix and I commented it looked very red/dark brown ,she said it was a new product and once in,set and rinsed and dried it would go blonde, she started to apply it,then passed me to another young man who informed me he was helping out from Christchurch, when I commented to him that I was concerned about the colour he stumbled over what to say and then said the same as the first girl ,Not before I noticed a look pass between them ... I was then left for 50 minutes, another young girl come to enquire if I was ok,I told her its 50 minutes ,she asked the other girl who by this time was seeing to/ going between 3 other ppl at once, and she[young girl] was told to rinse and dry my hair ,The moment she started to Dry it ,I Knew it was NOT going to go blonde ,I said to Her this is NOT blonde, she replied lets wait till I dry a bit more {I could see she was concerned }, still NOT blonde ,she went to Older lady and then they both rushed me back to sink and started to apply another lotion,I said what are you doing,"Reply" WE are going to try and strip some of colour ,The Chemical they used started to BURN my scalp and when I said so I was told it shouldn't "I said will it is ,it really hurt but they kept putting it on {The older woman } ,finally they took note and rinsed it off ,it still sting badly and I could see the young girl was upset, but I knew she was just doing as she was told ,Back at bench ,started to dry it,NO it was still DEEP DEEP Auburn Red ,By this time I was near in tears. The BOSS "Mark come over and wonder why I was upset [staff had told him what happened} it looked fine he commented . I said But its NOT what I wanted ,he repeated But it looks fine,it suits you "of course he would say that" ! . I told the young girl to get the Cape off me ,I just wanted to get out of there ,The boss offered for me to go back in and he would do Highlights ,since then I have been advised By 3 different professional hair dressers not to let him ,as They Might turn my hair orange or pink because of the chemicals already in my hair, surely a Professional Boss owner should know that .. I was also told they shouldn't have tried to strip it so soon after the colour .. I went back yesterday to discuss what I would like to happened with "mark", and Lo and behold he wasn't there ,even though he had been seen out dining the night before..... The young person {in charge apparently} I was speaking to asked me to talk to the girl who started my hair , I didn't want to as she didn't even come and say sorry that day ,she come out and I asked her WHY when I asked you 3 times what was wrong with the mix colour didn't you do something about it then ,she wouldn't answer me or respond ,her silences said it all ! I then remarked that I had been told By a person who applied for a job there and got it ,but turned it down , that she Knew some of these so called hair dressers working there and she KNEW that they did NOT have the proper qualifications ,Not one of the 4 staff standing there Denied this ..... I left a Urgent note for this Mark to get hold of me and thus far have heard nothing .. I've learned a hard lesson and can only hope my hair comes right or hair club come to the party before I have to attend my family wedding which the outfit I brought was based around my hair colour and toning ...

I have been to hair co 3 times all were complete screw ups first time they cut my hair wayy to short. I said one inch off so they very patchily cut off about 3 inches here 1/2 a inch there. It looked terrible. Then about 6months later i tried again but they really ruined it thay time. They styled my hair not how i asked cut it really patchy and again cut my hair to short , i went back and asked them to fix it but all they did is make it worse. Should be shut down, so if you want a good hair cut go to the sharing shed in henderson as they do a very nice job and follow you instructions. As for "hair co" new lynn, you should either shut down or get some QUALITY staff...

Not only should Hairco New Lynn shut down. But the owner himself "Joseph Ronnie Brooks" Needs to be put into place. Their customer service, Faulty products, and Fruad Business should not be accepted here. Something needs to be done. And im speaking from experience at that Salon.
