Newcomer Fede Alvarez will take the reigns of The Evil Dead remake from Sam Raimi, who will produce the revamp of his feature film debut.
Last week, Bruce Campbell - the star of the original 1981 film, alluded to the fact Raimi would be returning for the horror film re-do in one of his first tweets on Twitter.com - but now it's clear the moviemaker will be producing the project.
According to BloodyDisgusting.com, Alvarez will take over directorial duties. He's best known for 2009 short film Panic Attack!
The Evil Dead remake will shoot in Michigan later this year.
