The New Zealand Red Cross spent $1.3 million has been spent during the initial emergency response and recovery operation and contributions for people affected the Samoa tsunami and earthquake appeal totalled $4.4 million.

The Samoa Red Cross are now making plans for long-term programmes that will include disaster risk reduction.

Samoa Red Cross members Abril Esquivel and Karina Coates have recently captured these images of those still rebuilding.
