Marmite returns to shelves

3News NZ

Sanitarium has announced Marmite will return to shelves March 20.

“It’s been a long 15 months,” says Sanitarium general manager Pierre van Heerden. “Thank you for waiting this long. We’re almost there.”

Production of the yeast spread was suspended in March after earthquake damage meant operations could not continue in the company’s Christchurch factory.

Repairs on the factory were expected to be completed last year, but the discovery of more quake damage pushed that date back to November.

Watch the video for the full announcement.

Thank goodness, couldn't be more happy to hear of the return of marmite for the sole reason that I won't have to listen to the constant complaining from my partner after making him breakfast of scrambled eggs bacon and all the extras "these eggs are ok... But what I really wanted was marmite on toast" Welcome back Marmite, I'm counting down the days....
