A singer who won fame in the smash Broadway musical Phantom of the Opera is about to reach for the stars.
Sarah Brightman has been selected to travel to the international space station.
She says she's always dreamed of going into space and has already undergone a rigorous selection process.
“I was put into eight-g situation, like if you were in a ballistic entry, the air compression chamber, the rotating chair - which is meant to make you nauseous,” Brightman says. “I seemed to get through everything with flying colours.”
She has to come up with $50 million dollars, and do a six-month training course before she can shoot into space.
She says the moon missions inspired her to be a singing star, and she hopes her trip inspires others.
