Sarah Walker judges shoe competition
Wed, 12 Sep 2012 11:08p.m.
Cinderella’s shoes may have been glass but Olympian BMX rider Sarah Walker prefers silver, both around her neck and on her feet.
The 24-year-old was in Auckland for a shoe design competition tonight.
Walker herself dabbled in a bit of shoe design before heading away to London, but now she's putting her feet up.
Walker chose 11-year-old aspiring BMX rider Anay Westwick as the winner of tonight’s competition, and like many kids Walker meets, she was mesmerized by the chucky piece of tin.
Walker is planning on getting back on her bike training next week.
