Campbell Live did what any good Kiwi would do, and held a sausage sizzle
When Campbell Live heard last night that Manu Samoa’s winger Alesana Tuilaga had been fined $10,000 for wearing a non-regulation mouthguard, we were a bit taken aback.
We know the IRB has strict rules around sponsorship and yes we know they’ve just spent $2 million on a high performance centre in Apia. We were also told other teams have been fined for sponsorship infringements – although the IRB wouldn’t give us details.
But $10,000 for a mouthguard? It’s not as if Samoa are rolling in cash.
All this while England gets no punishment for swapping the ball when taking conversions against Romania.
Still, there is no use bleating about it. Campbell Live did what any good Kiwi would do in the circumstances; we held a sausage sizzle to pay the fine.
